Calibrating regularly with VitaLink Buffer 4 or 7 helps ensure your pH meter is working correctly.
Mismatched pH levels can cause nutrient deficiencies and inhibit bacterial growth in your system or substrate.
It's also key that the temperature of your solution is the same as the calibration fluid. Allow several hours for them to reach the same temperature, then use the 250ml or 1L bottle for calibration.
