Can-Fans’s intimate understanding of the demands of a hydroponic grow room extract fan set the miles ahead of the competition when it comes to controlling your indoor grow environment. The galvanised metal housing contains an exceptionally powerful fan motor system, designed not only to move huge amounts of air, but also to direct the air flow a way that causes minimal amounts of turbulence through your duct run, thus optimising the overall rate of air flow throughout any configuration of set up.
Combining this achievement in air flow with a super silent, acoustically insulated metal housing, you can be sure that your grow room’s extraction will move vast quantities of air without being a burden on your ears! In a modern urban environment, noise pollution from an indoor hydroponic grow room can be a significant issue to overcome. Can-Fan’s Iso-Max inline fan manages this almost effortlessly, delivering you optimum airflow rates at whisper quiet decibel levels.
HOW CAN ISO-MAX EXTRACTION FANS WORKThe design of the Can Iso-Max fan has been extensively thought through. The highly efficient motor itself consists of two main propellers. One rotor and one stator, this unique combination of components ensures the flow of air itself is manipulated into a highly uniform jet of air. With the flow of the exhausted air having such a high level of uniformity, minimal turbulence will be seen throughout the entire duct run. This results in lower overall decibel levels from the movement of the air and also minimises the drop in air flow you will conventionally see when attaching an extraction fan to any other component.
This decrease in air flow is a significant factor to consider when considering which fan to purchase. The drop in air flow is directly related to the amount of back pressure that is created when attaching something like a filter or even ducting to the unit. Every extraction fan will be effected differently under pressure and the manufacturer should be able to supply you with a pressure curve that will allow you to get an understanding of how the fan will perform. If you cannot get that info from a manufacturer then you should be wary of their products performance! Being a company with countless years of experience Can provide these for all their makes of fans.
Further to performing excellently under pressure, Can Iso-Max extraction fans have been designed with the modern-day hydroponics grower firmly in mind. A layer of highly sound proofed, acoustically insulated protection surrounds the motor, ensuring one of the quietest fans you can find on the market. While they may not be quite as silent as a box fan, inch per inch, they will move much more air, and still at a very quiet level. All being contained with a galvanised metal housing, if super high air flow is your main concern followed by super quiet operating decibel levels, then Can extract fans are the choice for you.
HOW TO USE A CAN ISO-MAX EXTRACTION FAN
Installation and use of the Can Iso-Max extraction fan has been thoroughly thought through. The simple yet highly effective addition of two hanging hooks on either end of the unit are a massively understated feature of this fan. Simply connect your hanging chain or rope ratchets to these sturdy metal hooks and bobs your uncle, it is ready to use. No messing around with bungee cords or chains trying to bodge together a random way to hang it up like you may have done with some other fans.
Perfect for use as either an intake or an out-take fan, there is almost no finer fan that could grace your grow room with its presence. Always take into consideration the size of your intake fan compared to your extract fan, as you do not want to run into a position where you have a positive air pressure overall in your room. Always make sure you have more air going out of your room than going in.
WHAT SIZE GROW ROOM FAN DO I NEED?
It is not quite as easy as looking at the m3/h on the fans and choosing the model based on that. Especially if you are connecting your fan to a carbon filter, you need to consider the increase in pressure this will have on the fan. When attaching a filter (or to a lesser degree, duct runs with bends in) you reduce the airflow that the fan can provide as it is essentially creating a resistance to that airflow. Making sure you choose the correct size of carbon filter for the relevant fan is crucial to ensuring you have a fully functioning extraction system.
Every room needs to be considered on an individual basis, there is no one size fits all option. You need to consider the sheer volume of your room, how much wattage of lights you have, and then other localised parameters like if it is on a south facing aspect of a property. Please feel free to give us a call or pop down into the store and we can go through your circumstances to ensure you get exactly the right model for the job at hand.
TIPS FOR USE
Ensure the surface you are hanging it from is suitable for bearing the load, especially for long term periods of time. Also ensure that you hang it with something appropriate for the job, like heavy duty chain or ideally rope ratchets, so the mounting height can be easily adjusted.
It is always preferable to use deluxe fast clamps and insulated ducting with the Can Iso-Max extract fan. The fast clamps will ensure the perfect air tight seal around the flange, while the insulated ducting will help further reduce and minimise any noise pollution heard from the unit.
It is always recommended to use premium fan speed controllers with extraction fans, as cheaper versions will tend to make the units hum, particularly when on their lower speed settings.
